The film deals with the life of young Faizal known as Feyzee who studies a chefs course in Switzerland against his rich fathers wishes As the relation between father and son breaks Feyzee is forced to work as a cook in a restaurant run by his grandfather Karim at Kozhikode Calicut A strong bond develops between Karim an old Sufi Muslim and his educated grandson who eventually decides to work permanently in the restaurant The film also throws light to the world of underprivileged people struggling to quench their hunger and the rich trying to eat up the poor and the marginalised Food with its myriad nuances in effect becomes a central character in the film
